“Be the love you long for” by John Sayers

Be the love that your heart most desires. Be the love you long for in the deepest recesses of your soul.

My Dearest Friend,

Here's a poem I wrote for you. I hope it speaks to your heart, and helps you to find true love and happiness!

The smallest concentration of a big idea,
Is often difficult for anyone to hear.
For all it means, mere words cannot express,
And so it remains buried in your chest.
While storms rage and feelings fly, the
Idea lets the world go by.

All ideas are best expressed in love,
The deepest and most complex, all the more.
And if you love in quiet movement, day by day,
Rage, despair, and sorrow will be swept away.

Be the love that your heart most desires.
Be the love you long for in the deepest recesses of your soul.

If you can love profoundly in this way,
The need to otherwise give sound
To big ideas will go away. And all that we can
Think and feel will find a voice, within
The hidden mystery of that choice.

So while the turmoil of the world abounds,
And while we importantly but inefficiently make sounds,
Recall that big ideas are best expressed
By acting out the love that you love best.
For all the most important things that we can be,
Will find their being in that victory.

Lots of love,

John
